Library plans fall book sale

Manheim Township Public Library will host its 15th annual book sale on Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be located at the Overlook Activities Center, 301 Golf Drive, Lancaster, inside the roller skating rink. Hosted by the Manheim Township Public Library and sponsored by Barley Snyder Attorneys at Law, the book sale is one of the library's major fundraiser events, with proceeds from the sale being used for library materials, programs, and equipment.

The sale will offer hardcover and paperback books, including children's books, along with CDs, DVDs, and puzzles. Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted, with a minimum purchase amount for credit cards. Sept. 14 will be half-price day.

Wednesday, Sept. 13, will be Children's Day, and each child who attends will receive a free paperback book. An Early Bird Story Time will begin at 9 a.m., and registration is required at http://www.mtpl.info. A scavenger hunt will be offered between 2 and 4 p.m.

Book and media donations will not be accepted at the book sale, but rather at the library on Tuesdays and Fridays between 9 and 11 a.m.
