The Columbia Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) recently announced the recipients of the organization's Business Grants for 2023. CEDC president Keith Lutz stated that the four $1,000 grants are a continuation of CEDC's commitment to actively promote community development and business expansion within the Borough of Columbia.

The recipients for 2023 are Axel Mechanical for advertising purposes, Golden Whisk for website development, Shertzer Enterprises for courtyard construction at 336 Locust St., and Homestead Craftsman for façade improvements at 15 N. Third St.

CEDC will accept business grant applications for 2024 beginning on Feb. 15, 2024, and ending on March 31. Applications can be obtained at http://www.columbia-edc.org/grants. Company must also submit their 2023 tax return and business license.
