The public is invited to an opening reception of an art show by Carol H. Dale on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Crossings Art Gallery at Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz. Her exhibit, titled "Joy and Peace," will be on display through October. Dale will show acrylics, oils, watercolors and ceramics.

Dale retired from teaching art at Lancaster Mennonite School in 2017. She continues to teach art at Lancaster Bible College as an adjunct instructor.

An award-winning artist, Dale shows her work in local and regional venues. She is a member of Lancaster County Art Association and serves as the current president. A graduate of Millersville University with a bachelor's degree in art education, she also studied at the University of the Arts and Eastern Mennonite University.

Carol and her husband, Brian, who will play guitar at the reception, have been married for more than 50 years and have two daughters and six grandchildren. They are residents of Willow Street and attend Millersville Bible Church.
