Foundation announces grant application dates

Lower Dauphin Falcon Foundation (LDFF) will accept grant applications for the 2023-24 school year. Applications are being sought from Lower Dauphin faculty members, staff members, students and community members. LDFF is looking to fund grants that represent a broad range of ideas, applicants, students impacted and locations. Criteria for approval include consistency with LDFF's mission, the number of students impacted and the innovative aspects of the grant. The LDFF has funded 198 grants during the past 15 years, totaling more than $124,000.

Although funding requests are reviewed twice a year, it is suggested that requests be submitted by Wednesday, Oct. 25, for projects running from November through the end of the school year and by Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, for projects between the summer and the start of the 2024-25 school year.

LDFF funded 18 grants for the 2023-24 school year, ranging from a districtwide second-grade STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) Day to a free voluntary reading library for foreign language learning at the high school.

The mission of LDFF is to ensure the highest level of educational innovation supporting students, faculty members and staff members with community involvement in a partnership of lifetime learning. LDFF aims to provide Lower Dauphin with a stable base of funding during challenging economic times and a long-term base of support to meet needs as they change over time.
