The Manheim Historical Society will host Historically Haunting Walking Tours during Manheim's 1st Thursday, Oct. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Journey Through the Spirits of the Past of Haunted Manheim will be led by Dr. Robert Kreider at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. and will last 45 to 60 minutes. Walk Through Time with Sharry Theal will be offered at 5, 6, and 7 p.m. and will last 30 to 45 minutes.

Walking tours will leave from Fasig House and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a spot, readers should call 717-665-7989 and leave a message with their name and phone number, the number of people in their party, and their desired tour time. Tours will be available weather permitting. While there is no cost to take part in the tours, donations will be accepted.

Open house events will be held that evening at the Fasig and Keath Log Homes, 30-32 E. High St., Manheim, and at the Railroad Station, 210 S. Charlotte St., Manheim. There will be Stiegel-type glass, a model railroad, and, weather permitting, trolley rides.
