Oct. 14. "Talking Tombstones" Tour

Presented by the Christiana Historical Society and Sadsbury Friends Meeting

1089 Simmontown Road, Gap. Attendees will meet some of the "residents" of the burial ground and hear their stories from the mid-1800s and the Christiana Resistance. Tour times will be at 4, 4:30, 5 and 5:30 p.m. Purchase tickets at http://www.christianahistoricalsociety.com. Tickets will also be available after 3:30 p.m. on tour day.

Oct. 15. Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser

2995 Cemetery Road, Parkesburg, 5 to 7 p.m. The menu will include homemade meatballs, tomato sauce, alfredo sauce, salad, beverages and dessert. Dinners can eat in or carry out thier meals. 1 Penn Ave, Christiana. Sunday morning worship will take place at 10 a.m. and then attendees may enjoy a free smorgasbord-style meal. The church is located between Newport Avenue and Pine Street, two blocks from the light at Route 41 and Pine Creek Drive.

Gateway Church

160 Cowan Road, Parkesburg, 6:30 p.m. The topic will be "Questions for God." GriefShare, which will be facilitated by Paul and Twila Ranck, is a free support group for those who have experienced the death of a family member or friend. Meetings will run every Tuesday through Nov. 7.

Oct. 21. Coat Giveaway

IMPACT Church is currently collecting winter wear for its annual Coat Giveaway on Saturday, Oct. 21. Donations will be accepted in the church lobby through Sunday, Oct. 15. Items needed are new or gently used coats as well as gloves, mittens, scarves, hats and boots. All are welcome to shop for free winter wear on Oct. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m.
