Clock museum posts fundraiser

The National Watch and Clock Museum, 514 Poplar St., Columbia, will hold its beer- and food-tasting fundraising event, Hops 'n' Clocks, on Friday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets include beer tasting, food sampling, a commemorative pint glass, museum entry, and a chance to win door prizes. Staff from the event's radio sponsor, 96.1 SOX, will be on-site to carry out the duties of the master of ceremonies. Live music will be provided by Irish group Fire in the Glen. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes.

Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit National Watch & Clock Museum, dedicated to preserving horological artifacts for the next generation and fostering an appreciation for the craftsmanship of clocks and watches and the stories they tell.
