Carmany and Robin Swope of Elizabethtown celebrated their 40th anniversary on Sept. 24 at a gathering attended by the couple's children and their families.

The Swopes were married on Sept. 24, 1983, at Newville Bible Church. They are the parents of Stacie Fisher, Steven Swope and Shayna English, all of Elizabethtown. There are eight grandchildren.
