Football players encourage reading at elementary school

In an effort to promote literacy and foster a sense of community, Elizabethtown Area High School varsity football players swapped their football gear for books and engaged in a special reading session with students at East High Street Elementary School.

During the visit, the football players read a selection of age-appropriate books to the elementary students, encouraging them to explore the world of literature. The young students listened attentively to their high school role models.

The event, part of the athletic department's commitment to community outreach, emphasized the importance of education, teamwork and community involvement. It underscored the department's dedication to making a positive impact beyond the playing field.
