Freedom Life Church invites individuals and families to Salisbury Township Community Park, commonly known as Gap Park, 750 White Horse Road, Gap, on Saturday, Oct. 21, for the Freedom 5K and fun run. Proceeds will support the fight against human trafficking.

The morning will begin with the 5K run/walk at 9 a.m., which will consist of four laps on the paved trail around the park that meanders through trees and around playgrounds and athletic fields. Medals will be awarded to the top finishers. During the 5K, a free Kids' Zone will be open, including inflatables, face painting, crafts, games and activities. Free concessions will be available for runners, walkers and all who attend.

Younger participants are encouraged to register for the fun run. Following the Freedom 5K, the fun run will begin by the pavilion and end between the tennis court and basketball court, which will serve as the entry to a Trunk or Treat hosted by FL Kids.

The Trunk or Treat is open to the public, and registration for the fun run is not required. Volunteers will decorate the trunks of their vehicles in child-friendly themes and distribute candy to children. Costumes are encouraged, but not necessary. The Trunk or Treat will open at 10:30 a.m. and conclude by 11:30 a.m.

Proceeds from the events will benefit All Things Possible Ministries, founded by Victor Marx. Donations will aid the organization's Pedophile Hunter Fund, House of Refuge and PTSD recovery program for women and children after trauma.

In the past eight years, Freedom Life has been able to give nearly $50,000 to combat trafficking locally and abroad, according to Freedom Life director of community relations Angie Dearolf.
