Humane Pennsylvania partners with local PetSmart

Humane Pennsylvania (HPA) recently announced that the organization has started partnering with PetSmart, located at 2395 Lincoln Highway East in Lancaster, to offer pet adoptions for cats and critters in need of loving forever homes.

Since Aug. 30, 12 cats and six guinea pigs from HPA have taken up residence at the Lancaster PetSmart. Of those 18 pets, nine cats and all guinea pigs have already been adopted including Ruby, one of the longest feline residents at the Lancaster Center for Animal Life-Saving, tallying up a total of 150 days in HPA's care.

Adopters wishing to provide a forever home for shelter pets are encouraged to stop by the Lancaster PetSmart or visit http://www.humanepa.org. All potential adopters are required to go through Humane Pennsylvania's adoption screening process. Approval is not guaranteed. Some exclusions may apply.

Adoptions include Humane Pennsylvania's 30-day Adoption Health Supplement; spaying or neutering prior to adoption; vaccinations, including current rabies vaccination, and de-worming medication; flea treatment; microchipping and chip registration; and a free one-pound bag of Science Diet pet food
