Luther Acres sets holiday bazaar, pancake breakfast

Residents of Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, have been working for months to prepare items for their upcoming holiday bazaar. The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the community room of the Luther Acres Towne Center at 250 St. Luke Drive, Lititz. Shoppers will be able to pay for their purchases via cash or check. Proceeds will support the Luthercare Resident Caring Fund.

The bazaar will feature artisan vendors selling a variety of items, including pottery, handwoven baskets, ornaments, bows, hand-painted placemats, aprons, T-shirts, Christmas stockings, Christmas-themed Ukrainian eggs, greeting cards, quilling and memory bears. The bazaar will also feature handcrafted cards and gifts, wooden items, Christmas items, knitted and crocheted items and baked goods that have been handmade by Luther Acres residents. There will also be an array of donated jewelry, attic treasure items and Christmas decorations for sale.

Additionally, there will be a giveaway drawing for a queen-size, blue and gray quilt, featuring the Boston Commons design. Separate prices have been set for two tickets and for an arm's length. The drawing will be held at 1:30 p.m.

Attendees are also welcome to enjoy a pancake breakfast in Katy's Grill, a campus restaurant in the Towne Center, from 8 to 10 a.m. The breakfast will feature pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice for a set fee, which may be paid with cash only. Proceeds will benefit the Luthercare Resident Caring Fund.
