Lions set veterans dinner, Servant Stage performance

The Quarryville and Wakefield Lions will host their 13th annual veterans dinner on Friday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center at Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville. This year's featured speaker will be Native American Mary Kendall.

The dinner is free for veterans and a significant other or caregiver. Reservations are requested no later than Thursday, Nov. 9, by calling Gerald Wagner of the Quarryville Lions at 717-786-2195 or Joe McMullen of the Wakefield Lions at 717-786-8060.

Since Nov. 10 is the Marine Corps' birthday, the Marines will host a Toys for Tots collection table at the event.

Additionally, the Quarryville Lions will sponsor a performance of Servant Stage's "Jingle Bell Jukebox" on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. The performance will take place at Memorial United Methodist Church, 101 S.
