PackHOPE event to fight hunger

Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, will host the fifth annual PackHOPE event on Saturday, Dec. 2. Two sessions will be offered: from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Attendees should arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to the start time of their session for training in the main auditorium. Community members may attend with a group or individually to pack meals.

The meals of rice and beans will be delivered to people in need in some of the hardest-to-reach places. In addition to meeting a physical need, those delivering the meals will share the Gospel with recipients.

Volunteers have packed 100,000 meals in each of PackHOPE's first four years, so the event is projected to reach a half a million meals this year. The cost to pack 100,000 meals is $33,333. Donations toward the effort may be made at https://mywc.ccbchurch.com/give_detail.php.
