Oxford Presbyterian Church,

6 Pine St., Oxford. The shop will be open on Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. Items offered for sale will include handmade jewelry, seasonal decorations, ornaments and pottery. Local author Iris Gray Dowling will sign copies of her books on Friday, Dec. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m.

New Beginnings Church of the Cross

1 Penn Ave, Christiana. Sunday morning worship will take place at 10 a.m. and then attendees may enjoy a free smorgasbord-style meal. The church is located between Newport Avenue and Pine Street, two blocks from the light at Route 41 and Pine Creek Drive.

Nov. 30. Christiana Historical Society Speaker Series

Christiana Borough Building

10 W. Slokom Ave. Christiana, 6:30 p.m. Attendees will meet Daniel Ness, the author of "By Moonlight to Freedom, Underground." He will discuss the history of the civil rights movement in Lancaster County from 1825 to 1875. Everyone is welcome.
