GSV sets holiday events, support group meeting

Garden Spot Village (GSV), 443 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, has announced upcoming events.

Servant Stage will present "Jingle Bell Jukebox" at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24 and 25, in the chapel. The original revue features high-energy arrangements of well-known Christmas songs performed by a large cast and a live band. Dancing is also part of the show. The admission fee is pay-what-you-will.

People of all ages are invited to attend open houses at the Train Room from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays from Nov. 25 to Dec. 30. The HO-gauge train layout includes Thomasville and the "Talk with Thomas" event, and the O-gauge layout includes an elevated track. Both layouts provide detailed scenery. The open houses are free and open to the public, and donations will be accepted. In addition, the Wood Shop will host a holiday sale offering handcrafted wood items, including kitchen utensils, games, puzzles, gag gifts and stocking stuffers.

The Parkinson's Friends in Community support group will meet on Monday, Nov. 27, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Garden Towers. Laura Good, Garden Spot Communities' music therapist, will discuss "Holiday Fun With Rhythm and Music." The event is for individuals with Parkinson's and their family members and friends. It is free and open to the public. For more information, call Jenny Snyder at 717-355-6259.
