Scouts to host Breakfast with Santa

Boy Scout Troop 64 will host a Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon at Salem United Church of Christ (UCC), 2312 Marietta Ave., Lancaster. The event is returning after a hiatus due to the pandemic.

The meal will include pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and fruit, along with orange juice, milk, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and eggnog. It is a Troop 64 tradition to have an eggnog toast with Santa every half hour during the event. Breakfast with Santa also includes time for children to visit and take pictures with Santa and to purchase items at Santa's Secret shop, a small store created by the Boy Scouts. It includes nominally priced items that children may purchase as gifts for their family members. To help keep the gifts a surprise, the Scouts will wrap the presents at the event.

Boy Scout Troop 64 meets each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Salem UCC and is open to boys ages 11 to 18. For more information about the breakfast or joining the Scouts, call Nina at 717-572-3448.
