Five members of the Elizabethtown Area School District's Etown FFA have received the American FFA Degree. This recognition is the culmination of more than four years of active participation within the FFA community. The Etown FFA recipients are Emily Bonsall, Faith Burkholder, Derek Hottenstein, Samantha Ippolito and Adam Snyder.

To qualify for the American FFA Degree, recipients must have graduated with high academic achievement; have dedicated a minimum of 2,250 hours to an agriculture-related job or earned $10,000, investing $7,500 in an agriculture-related project; and have completed 50 hours of community service. The American FFA Degree is the highest accolade an FFA member can achieve.

Bonsall, Burkholder, Hottenstein and Ippolito graduated in 2022, and Snyder is a 2021 graduate. Bonsall, Burkholder and Ippolito attended the degree ceremony at the National Convention on Nov. 1.
