"For All the Saints" organ concert set

A "For All the Saints" First Friday organ concert will be presented on Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. at the historic 1854 First Reformed Church, 40 E. Orange St., Lancaster.

Organist Larry Hershey will play the 1958 analog Allen organ for the program. Selections in the 30-minute concert will include a Charles Callahan work titled "O Day of Peace," based on the tune "Jerusalem" by British composer C. Hubert Parry; Leo Sowerby's "Prelude on 'Sine Nomine'"; and "Sarabande on 'Land of Rest'" by Gerald Near. The program will conclude with the Virgil Fox arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Now Thank We All Our God" from Cantata 79. Fox played this piece on First Reformed Church's organ at its dedication in 1958.

The concert is free and open to the community. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. For more information, contact the church office at 717-397-5149.
