Credit unions deliver donations to veteran's center

The York Chapter of Credit Unions came together to deliver donations to Mr. Sandy's Homeless Veteran's Center on Oct. 6. Every year, the York Chapter of Credit Unions coordinates a community giveback project, which allows its teams to work together to support the community.

After Sandie Walker shared the story of her father's dream for Mr. Sandy's Homeless Veteran's Center at a meeting, the chapter wanted to do its part to help. So, in the month of September, First Capital Federal Credit Union (FCU), White Rose Credit Union, Glatco Credit Union and York Educational FCU collected items for the center at their branches.

This initiative also coordinated with Credit Unit (CU) Kind Day on Oct. 9. CU Kind Day is a day for credit union employees, members, volunteers and partners to come together and spread kindness.

The York Chapter of Credit Unions is an organization of not-for-profit financial institutions that has a guiding philosophy of "People helping people."
