5K raises support for PBCC

Field of Screams hosted its 11th annual Zombie Fun Run 5K on Nov. 11, raising $8,500 to benefit the PA Breast Cancer Coalition (PBCC). Participants had the option to register as runners or zombies. Participants crawled through mud, jumped through fire and climbed over a dozen obstacles.

Proceeds from the event will be used to provide research grants, personalized patient advocacy and support services like the PBCC's free Friends Like Me care package program for newly diagnosed women. To date, Field of Screams has contributed nearly $80,000 to the PBCC.

The PBCC represents, supports and serves breast cancer survivors, families and researchers in Pennsylvania through educational programming, legislative advocacy and breast cancer research grants. To learn more, call 800-377-8828 or visit http://www.pabreastcancer.org.
