Community members are invited to celebrate New Year's Eve, Sunday, Dec. 31, at First Night Hallam/Hellam. Activities will be held at Hellam Fire Company, 163 E. Market St., and Trinity United Church of Christ (UCC), 200 E. Market St.

Entertainment and activities will include magician Tim Story; vocal group Joy Ride, consisting of Sue Horner and friends; singer and guitarist Kerry White; Critter Connection; and a caricature artist. DJ Mike Hertzog will provide music for dancing. Food will be sold by Himes Concessions, and bingo will be played at Trinity UCC. Throughout the event, there will be giveaways, with prizes including cash and gift baskets. Attendees may ring in the new year at midnight with the dropping of the replica of Haines Shoe House.

Organizers will collect cleaning supplies for Bell Socialization Services, and anyone who brings an item will receive a ticket for the cash drawing.
