School of Rock, which offers music education with a focus on performing for people ages 3 through adult, is now open in York. School of Rock offers programs in guitar, bass, keyboard, drums and singing.

According to owner Bernadette Lauer, School of Rock offers private music lessons combined with a band practice. Students are provide with the experience of playing with other musicians and performing in front of a live audience. Plans also call for students to share musical performances in the community.
