Library posts January schedule

Kreutz Creek Library (KCL), 66 Walnut Springs Road, York, will offer programs and services to the community. For details and registration, call the library at 717-252-4080 or visit http://www.yorklibraries.org.

Books for donation may be dropped off with no appointment needed on Thursday, Jan. 11, from noon to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

KCL's upcoming programs include Baby and Toddler Story Time for children from birth to age 3 on Wednesdays, Jan. 17, 24, and 31, and Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5 on Fridays, Jan. 19 and 26. These programs will run from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., and reservations are required.

Phoe, Fi, Fo, Fun: Fun with Phoe(nix) will take place on Monday, Jan. 15, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Junior volunteer Phoe will lead stories, songs, and a craft based on the theme "Helping Others."

Builder's Club, for people ages 6 to 12, will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Activities for tweens ages 9 to 11 will be offered on Tuesdays, Jan. 9 and 16, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. The Danger Club will meet on Jan. 9, and Library Squad will gather on Jan. 16

The Spoiler Alert! teen book review group will meet via Zoom on Thursday, Jan. 4, from 5 to 6 p.m. Reservations are requested.

Manga Book Club for teens will take place on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. This program will occur after the library is closed to the public. Only teens attending this program will be allowed inside.

Stitch and Chat groups, for knitters and crocheters, will meet on Jan. 4 and 18 from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and on Jan. 16 from 1 to 2:45 p.m.

Reiki Meditation with Miranda will take place on Jan. 4 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The Green Thumb Garden Club will meet on Jan. 11 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Melanie Markowski will present " 'Annual Flowers' Small Space Pollinator Garden."

York Chess Club, for people of all ages, will be held on Jan. 9 and 16 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Effects of Screen Time on Eye Health will be presented on Saturday, Jan. 13, at a time to be announced. Graduate students from Elizabethtown College's physician assistant program will present the free workshop. Reservations are required.

The Cookbook Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Attendees should bring a sweet or savory prepared dish related to the theme "Casseroles," along with a copy of the recipe. Reservations are required.

A "Let's Speak Up!" Workshop will be presented by Self Advocates United as 1 (SAU1) on Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees will learn about their rights, how to be a self-advocate, ways to advocate, and the power of groups. The mission of SAU1 is to "support self advocacy of people with disabilities for positive impact in our communities and in people's lives." Reservations are required.

The Friends of Kreutz Creek Library will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 5:30 p.m.
