Epiphany concerts planned

Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, will close out the Christmas season with Epiphany concerts on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 7, at 3 p.m. The performances are part of the congregation's free Starlight Tea Concert Series.

Under the direction of Matthew Fritz, members of the church's Chancel Choir and Carillon Bell Choir, along with organist Margaret Marsch, soloists, and a chamber orchestra, will present "Christus Natus Est" by British composer Cecilia McDowall and Antonio Vivaldi's "Gloria," along with music for organ and handbells. Soloists will include Elyse Fonteles de Lima, Jennifer Smith, Claire Fritz, Suzanne Schaudel, and Carolyn Fitzkee. Tea and cookies will be served following the Jan. 6 performance.
