Fall in love with E-Town

Elizabethtown will be a sweet place to be in February. Bring your sweet tooth to town and check out the Mars Wrigley Chocolate Walk from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9.

"This will be the third anniversary for this sweet adventure downtown to collect chocolates at participating businesses," said Tony Gibble of LIV-Etown, which is hosting the event. The festivities are part of the "Fall in Love with E-Town" 2nd Friday celebration. "This year, we are thrilled and thankful that Mars is sponsoring this fun event," Tony commented.

To participate in the Chocolate Walk, people will purchase a Valentine's Day box with all proceeds benefiting the free community events LIV-Etown holds throughout the year. "You will also get a map showing you where to walk to collect your chocolates," Tony said. "There will be a free conversation hearts scavenger hunt ending with a candy prize and a chance to win $150 in gift cards to our wonderful downtown family of shops. There will be lots of My Town E-Town Sticker Book stickers to collect as well as specials and activities at various downtown shops."

LIV-Etown hosts events for the community on a regular basis, including 2nd Friday festivities. Additional LIV-Etown activities include parades, family festivals and a strawberry social.

The Chocolate Walk promises to be a fun time for everyone, noted Clint Gibble of LIV-Etown. "Whether you're a chocolate connoisseur or casual enjoyer, if you love a sense of community and fun for all ages, then we invite you to come out with us and Fall in Love with E-Town this 2nd Friday," he said.

Anyone who wants to satisfy their sweet tooth earlier in the month should check out local ice cream shops, including Figments in Sprinkles and Udder Bliss Creamery, for Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 3.
