Boone Area Library in Birdsboro held a fundraising mocktail workshop on Jan. 13, where attendees enjoyed making mocktails, which are nonalcoholic mixed drinks made with items such as fruit juice, soft drinks and iced tea.

The event was hosted by Ashley Hoffman, a member of the library board of trustees. She taught attendees four different mocktail recipes, which participants then got to try for themselves at different stations.

All in attendance went home with a goodie bag that included homemade syrups and recipe cards so they could recreate at home what they had learned during the workshop.
