Parkside Harmony to present concert

Parkside Harmony will headline a concert, "Parkside Harmony at The Forum," on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 3 p.m. at the Harrisburg Forum Auditorium, 500 Walnut St., Harrisburg. The internationally acclaimed male a cappella group recently won the silver medal at the 2023 Barbershop Harmony Society International Competition in Louisville, Ky.

Alongside Parkside Harmony, the concert will feature the ensemble's partner chorus, Parkside Melody, and the quartets Rule #1, Midnight Society, and Brothers In Arms. The diverse setlist includes well-known tunes like "Mr. Blue Sky" and "Wouldn't It Be Nice," alongside Franz Biebl's "Ave Maria."

"This concert reflects our journey of musical exploration and triumph," said Sean Devine, artistic director and founder. "We're proud to share this moment with our community and fellow artists."

Since its founding in 2015, Parkside Harmony has performed across southcentral Pennsylvania, as well as at music festivals and competitions throughout the United States. Prior to winning its silver medal, the group earned bronze medals at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Competitions in 2017, 2018, and 2022. The chorus has also performed at Carnegie Hall and opened for Grammy award-winning a cappella group Pentatonix. Parkside Harmony consists of 50 auditioned singers directed by Devine and Vincent Sandroni.
