Valentine's Day dance planned

The Circle Legacy Center will host a Valentine's Day Sweetheart Dance and Social as its Second Friday program on Friday, Feb. 9, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Community Mennonite Church, 328 W. Orange St., Lancaster.

The program will focus on the music and dance of the Eastern Woodland Tribes, with demonstrations of each dance followed by an opportunity for audience participation. Music will be provided by Native American Music Award nominees Barry Lee, who is the lead guitarist and singer for the band Spirit Wing, and flute player David Rose. The history of the music and dances, along with what each represents, will be explained.

Participants are asked to bring a food item to share and their own tableware. Attendees should enter through the glass doors from Concord Street.
