Program to focus on Power Packs Project

The Millersville Woman's Club will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 222 N. George St., Millersville.

The program will focus on the Power Packs Project. The speaker, Joy Meley, has been a member of the organization's board since 2002. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in social work and has worked for Penn Manor School District as a social worker since 2022. Penn Manor is among the districts where Power Packs operates.

Power Packs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger among schoolchildren over the weekend, when free school breakfasts and lunches are not available. Every week, participants receive a fresh recipe and all the ingredients to make the meal, along with pantry staples like cereal or peanut butter and local, fresh items like milk and produce.

All women who live in the Millersville area are invited to attend. For more information, call 407-416-3231 or 717-917-6677.
