Program to focus on Battle of Gettysburg

The Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley (HSCV) will host a program, "Fields of Glory - Hear Their Stories," on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 167 E. Main St., Ephrata.

Civil War historian and former re-enactor Tom Lehman will speak on the impact that the Battle of Gettysburg had on local farms and the people who worked on them.

The program is free and open to the public. Attendees may enter the building from the parking lot in the alley to the rear of the church. In the case of inclement weather, the historical society will follow the Ephrata Area School District's closing schedule.
