The Central Pennsylvania World War II Roundtable will meet on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 433 E. Main St., Hummelstown. The program will also be livestreamed on the YouTube channel Central Pennsylvania World War II Roundtable.

Historian and author Andrew Biggio will discuss his book "The Rifle" and its unsung hero, an M1-Garand rifle that unlocked decades of memories from hundreds of World War II veterans during interview sessions with them. Biggio is a Marine who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and has earned national recognition for his efforts to secure assistance for injured combat veterans.
