Kurt is an Elizabethtown resident and current Railroad Collections Archivist at the Pennsylvania State Archives in Harrisburg. Presently he is a fireman on the oil-fired 1865 replica Pennsylvania RR 4-4-0 steam locomotive No. 331 at the Stone Gables Estate in Elizabethtown. He is a nationally know railroad historian.
