State Rep. Mark M. Gillen presented a citation from the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives to Dolly Thornburg of the Heritage of Green Hills on her 100th birthday. Thornburg's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren joined residents of the Heritage of Green Hills in Cumru Township in Berks County for the birthday celebration, which included music and food.

Thornburg was born on Feb. 14, 1924, in Reading, and she graduated from Reading High School in 1942.
