Rutt earns 2nd at District 3 Section 2 tourney

- On Saturday, February 17 at the Class AAA sectional at Hempfield, Solanco’s Caden Rutt logged a 16-1 technical fall over Manheim Township’s Luke Phillips on his way to a third-place showing at 107 pounds.
- Solanco 139-pounder Ben Williams tries to muscle McCaskey’s Dabens Charles’ shoulders to the mat during their match at the Class AAA sectional at Hempfield on Saturday, February 17. Williams pinned Charles at the 4:48 mark and finished fourth at 139.
- Tyler Kreider of Solanco defends Milton Hershey’s Joseph Cruz’s shot during their 189-pound match at the Class AAA sectional at Hempfield on Saturday, February 17. Kreider logged a second period fall, before capturing sixth-place hardware.
- Solanco 160-pounder Chase Plastino takes Jeremiah Richards of Manheim Township to the mat during their match at the Class AAA sectional at Hempfield on Saturday, February 17. Plastino notched a fall at the 4:28 mark.
- Solanco’s Nathan Smith applies pressure to the shoulders of Lampeter-Strasburg’s Harry Skiles during a bout in the 127-pound weight class at the Class AAA sectional at Hempfield on Saturday, February 17. Smith pinned Skiles at 1:51.
- Solanco 114-pounder Wyatt Shiffler probes for an opening against Juan Reyes of Warwick in their bout at the Class AAA sectional at Hempfield on Saturday, February 17.
