Program to focus on Benjamin Franklin

The Strasburg Heritage Society will meet Monday, March 18, at the Strasburg Presbyterian Church, 101 S. Decatur St., at 7 p.m.

After a brief business meeting, Heritage Society member Stephen Shaw will share "Benjamin Franklin - Formed Our Nation's Character." Shaw will explore the life of Franklin, a scientist, an inventor, a diplomat, a writer, a politician, and a shopkeeper who dined with kings. Franklin helped shape important documents such as the Declaration of Independence, the treaty of alliance with France, the peace treaty with England, and the Constitution.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Membership cards for 2024 will be available at the meeting, and new benefits associated with the cards will be explained.
