Geyers UMC plans Easter egg hunt

Geyers United Methodist Church (UMC), 1605 S. Geyers Church Road, Middletown, will hold its annual community Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday, March 24, at 1 p.m. This event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine.

Children age 13 and under may bring their baskets to collect some of the more than 4,000 plastic eggs that will be scattered across the church lawn. In addition to the candy and toys inside the eggs, there will be free prizes for all the children. The Easter Bunny will be present for photos. The Londonderry Fire Company will bring a fire truck to the event and offer goodies to attendees.

After the egg hunt, all children and adults may pick up a free bag lunch. Each meal will include a hot dog, chips, a dessert, and a drink.

In the case of rain, the egg hunt will be an indoor walk-through event. Families will enter the church using the upstairs doors; pick up bags of eggs, prizes, and lunch; and exit through the downstairs doors.

No preregistration is required. For more information, contact Karen at 717-919-4319 or karenkathy@comcast.net. Information, including details about weather-related changes, will also be available on the Geyers United Methodist Church page on Facebook.
