Sarah Leidich of Mount Joy was named a Scholar of Distinction by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). Leidich, a graduate of Donegal High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders at Lebanon Valley College. Leidich was named a Scholar of Distinction for the fourth time in her field hockey career.

The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes undergraduate student-athletes who have exhibited exceptional academic excellence, achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year. In total, 510 Division III student-athletes earned the honor.
