Officers from the Akron Borough and West Earl Township police departments will be on hand to speak with community members during Coffee with a Cop on Tuesday, March 26, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Akron Borough Office, 117 S. Seventh St., Akron. Coffee and doughnuts will be available, and the officers will be available to answer attendees' questions.

West Earl Township Police Chief Eric Higgins has plans to continue community outreach programs so the public can get to know the officers serving the local area. The police officers will hold another National Night Out, their largest activity, on Tuesday, Aug. 6. The police will also be involved with Cool Off with Cops, Akron Day in the Park, a blood drive, the Akron Easter egg hunt, the Halloween Parade and Toys for Tots.
