Church sets Holy Week and Easter services

Leacock Presbyterian Church, 3181 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, has announced its Holy Week and Easter activities.

A Maundy Thursday service including Communion will be held on March 28 at 7 p.m. It will center around the theme "I Am the Vine."

The sanctuary will also be open on Good Friday, March 29, from noon to 1 p.m. for music and the Word with Pastor Shuler and organist Dianne Yuninger.

An Easter sunrise service will take place at 7 a.m. on Sunday, March 31, at the Old Leacock Church, Old Philadelphia Pike and Old Leacock Road, 1 mile west of Intercourse. Worshippers will gather around a fire in the courtyard and then, using lighted candles, process into the sanctuary, where the Rev. Jim Shuler will lead the service.

A potluck breakfast will follow this service in the fellowship hall of the Paradise church. The Service of the Resurrection will occur at 9:30 a.m. in the Paradise sanctuary.
