Ware Center to host spoken word poet

The Arts at Millersville University will present "An Evening With Brandon Leake" on Thursday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster.

Spoken word poet, author, artistic educator, and motivational speaker Leake will share his passion for art, his love of spoken word, and his thoughts on finding peace in a challenging world. Leake's poetry tells his personal stories of loss, pain, growing up in the inner city, and his journey of hope and love.

Leake has performed in locations such as New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, and 36 U.S. states on his "Dark Side Tour," which promotes his first published poetry chapbook and his album "Deficiencies: A Tale From My Dark Side." He won "America's Got Talent" in 2020. He is also the founder and CEO of Called To Move - CTM, an artistry organization with the goal of aiding youths in self-actualizing and personally developing through the art of poetry.
