Millersville University (MU) will offer arts events on Friday, April 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster.

A performance titled "Acts of Welcome" will celebrate the artistry of Lancaster's refugee and immigrant communities and feature diverse artists performing in a wide variety of genres. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Steinman Hall.

In the Regitz Gallery, a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. will celebrate the opening of the exhibit "New Work" by the MU art and design faculty. The department's studio offerings include ceramics, metals and jewelry, sculpture, painting, graphic and interactive design, photography, printmaking, and drawing. The exhibit will be on display from through Friday, April 26.

The programs are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
