Workshop to focus on story of the tabernacle

The Mennonite Life Visitors Center will host an interactive Tabernacle Kit Workshop for families and small groups on Saturday, April 20, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 2215 Millstream Road, Lancaster.

This interactive workshop will provide a hands-on connection to the story of the tabernacle. Pastor Timothy Darling will walk attendees through the spiritual significance of the tabernacle as they construct a small model of the structure from wood and cloth. Participants will read Scripture together, and there will be time for questions and conversation. The 90-minute workshop will be followed by a complimentary viewing of the "Biblical Tabernacle Experience."

The tabernacle kits are a local collaboration, including wooden structures made by the woodworking class at Lancaster Mennonite School under the direction of Ryan King and cloth provided by Mennonite Life Visitors Center associate Nancy Hess.

The fee paid at registration includes the kit; a separate workshop fee must be paid for each participant on the day of the event. To register, visit http://www.mennonitelife.org/events.
