The York County Astronomical Society (YCAS) will offer a solar eclipse event at the observatory at John Rudy County Park, 400 Mundis Race Road, York, on Monday, April 8, from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Experienced YCAS members will teach attendees about safe methods of viewing the partial solar eclipse and discuss what is being viewed. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will be held as long as the skies are sufficiently clear to view the sun.
