Church sets meal, program about recycling

Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 W. Orange St., will host a community meal on Wednesday, April 17. The meal will be served at 6 p.m., and Brian Snader from the Mennonite Central Committee's Material Resources Center in Ephrata will speak at 7 p.m.

The program will be about Earth Day and recycling. It will focus specifically on items that are not accepted in curbside, residential recycling programs but are still recyclable. Attendees may bring the following items to the event for recycling: newspapers, office paper, magazines, and clean, flattened cardboard and paperboard, including cereal box-type. Wax-coated boxes such as juice or ice cream cartons are not accepted. Attendees should sort their items before the event or be prepared to separate them when they arrive.

There is no charge, but donations will be accepted. No reservations are needed. The meal and program will be held in the Family Life Center, and attendees should use the entrance at the back of the church.
