Bear Creek students perform at Song Fest

Four fifth-grade students from the Bear Creek School showcased their musical talent at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 7 Elementary Song Fest. Representing the Elizabethtown Area School District at the event, held on April 6 in the auditorium at Cocalico High School, were Anna Clouser, Wren Heckman, Lily Kuipers and Grace Quickel.

Under the guidance of their chorus director, Justin McLaughlin, the students joined an ensemble of 160 peers hailing from 45 schools across eight Pennsylvania counties. The festival provided a platform for students to work with guest conductor Laura Harmon of Cherry Hill Township School District in New Jersey, hone their musical skills and collaborate with fellow young artists.

Anna, Lily and Wren performed in an auditioned small ensemble, and Grace was part of a trio alongside two students from different schools.
