Servant Stage plans "Fiddler on the Roof"

Servant Stage will present "Fiddler on the Roof," featuring its largest cast ever with over 80 performers bringing this classic show to life. The show will be presented from Friday, May 31, to Sunday, June 16, at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Due to demand, an additional performance has been added on Wednesday, June 5, at 7 p.m. All performances will be held in the auditorium at Lancaster Bible College, 901 Eden Road, Lancaster.

Set in the small Russian village of Anatevka at the turn of the 20th century, "Fiddler on the Roof" follows the life of Tevye, a humble milkman, as he grapples with the challenges of tradition, family, and change. With the help of his tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters in the face of the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. The musical's score, by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, includes songs such as "Tradition," "Matchmaker," and "Sunrise, Sunset."

The cast features Robert Amaya as Tevye, Colleen Amaya as Golde, Stephen Atherholt as Mordcha and the understudy for Tevye, and Jessica Atherholt as Fruma Sarah and the understudy for Golde. Johnathan Bauer is the director, and Joshua William Green is the choreographer and assistant director.
