GEARS is seeking volunteers for Camp Ladybug, a free camp offered to individuals of all ages who have mental or physical challenges. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Mondays to Fridays from June 17 to July 26 at Elizabethtown Park Pavilion 5, accessible from Verdant Alley, Spruce Street, or Apple Alley. Camp Ladybug is run entirely by volunteers.

Three tennis camps will be held from Monday to Thursday, June 24 to 27, and Monday to Thursday, July 15 to 18, at the tennis courts at Elizabethtown Area High School (EAHS), 600 E. High St., Elizabethtown.

A Beginner Tennis Camp for children ages 4 to 6 will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Children of any skill level may learn the fundamentals of tennis using the red tennis balls.

Beginner Intermediate Tennis Camp for kids ages 7 to 12 will take place from 10 to 11:15 a.m. The program will focus on building tennis fundamentals with an emphasis on fun. The camp will focus on learning proper techniques.

Teen Tennis Camp for those ages 13 to 17 will occur from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Players will develop skills through conditioning, stroke development, and strategy.

Bears Basketball Camp will be held from June 24 to 27 from noon to 3 p.m. in the gym at Bear Creek School, 1459 Sheaffer Road, Elizabethtown. The program is for kids in grades three through nine. EAHS boys' basketball players and coach Lee Eckert will teach children the fundamentals of basketball in a fun but competitive atmosphere. Ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding, post moves, and defense will be emphasized. A camp T-shirt is included in the fee.

A trip to the Finger Lakes Wine Fest will take place on Saturday, July 27, with departure at 7 a.m. from the EAHS parking lot. The festival features more than 90 New York state wineries, along with live music, wine seminars, food demonstrations, and a gourmet food court. A wine pickup service will be available. Attendees must be age 21 and up and have a photo ID to participate.
