The Elizabeth Hughes Society will sponsor a $1,000 Women for Women scholarship. To be eligible, an applicant must have a high school diploma or GED and live in the Elizabethtown Area or Donegal School District.

Applications are available at Elizabethtown Public Library, 10 S. Market St., Elizabethtown, and Milanof-Schock Library, 1184 Anderson Ferry Road, Mount Joy, as well as at many churches. Applicants will need to provide a short explanation of what more education will allow them to do, and two recommendations must be submitted separately. Applications will be accepted until Saturday, June 1.
