SNAP announces new license plate

Spay Neuter Assistance Program Inc. (SNAP) invites members of the public to purchase a new official Pennsylvania license plate to raise awareness and funds for the spaying and neutering of cats and dogs. The plate was recently approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), and registration fees will be used solely to finance spay/neuter surgeries. The plate features a drawing of a dog and a cat along with the text "spay/neuter saves lives."

SNAP is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Pennsylvania that helps people access reduced-cost spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats. SNAP notes that spaying and neutering these animals may help to reduce the number of dogs and cats that need homes and thereby reduce the number euthanized.

The new license plate is available through the Special PennDOT License Plate Form, available at http://SNAPofPA.org. The submission procedure is detailed on the aforementioned website. SNAP will forward the forms to PennDOT, which will process the requests and send customers their plates.
